Flavor Profile Differences
The gap between these two is mostly about spice.
- Noah's Mill: A high-proof Willett blend with a lot of nutty and fruity character. Peanut, golden raisin and jam make it taste like peanut butter and jelly, and it finishes very dry.
- Larceny Small Batch: Heaven Hill's everyday wheater and the most affordable way into the style. Soft honey and butterscotch with almost no spice, and a texture that makes the low price hard to argue with.
Which One Should You Choose?
- Go with Noah's Mill if you want a high-proof, nutty, jammy Willett bourbon with a bone-dry finish.
- Go with Larceny Small Batch if you want an easy, sweet, genuinely inexpensive wheated bourbon at a significantly lower price point.
Best enjoyed neat (Noah's Mill); neat, rocks, cocktails (Larceny Small Batch).
